I am a scientists and bioengineer. I am active in research and teaching in the areas of Biointegration (e.g. Lab-on-a-chip, Bioelectronics), Biophysics (e.g. Nano-Biotechnology, Biophotonics, Complex Systems), Biosensors and Biomaterials with special focus on the understanding, modeling and controlling of cellular processes at technological interfaces. I believe that a more open approach to hardware development will advance experimental sciences as well as positively transform the role of data, participation, funding, and impact in our projects.
