I am a bioengineer and active in research and teaching in the areas of Biointegration (e.g. Lab-on-a-chip, Bioelectronics, Photonics), Biophysics (e.g. Nano-Biotechnology, Biophotonics, Complex Systems), with a special focus on high-throughput analysis of interactions in the microbiome with droplet microfluidics. I believe that a more open approach to hardware development will advance experimental sciences, widen participation and equality in research, and increase the societal impact of our projects.
